Mona Hamdy is the managing director of Anomaly, a data-driven technology commercialization and growth acceleration consultancy. She is a teaching fellow of applied ethics at Harvard University focused on the impact of technology on human cultural and social systems and is currently researching design interventions to increase dignity and comfort in palliative and end-of-life care at Savannah College of Art and Design. Mona advises UC Berkeley's SkyDeck AI and blockchain accelerator, and serves as the MENA -region chair of the Harvard Women in Defense, Development and Diplomacy (HW3D). She is a civic sector advisory board member of the Bretton Woods Committee, a member of the UN special council on financing the 2030 Agenda and the WB special council on SDG1. Mona is a board alum of the Washington DC-based Center for Democracy and Technology and the Mosaic Foundation, a diplomatic cultural and educational nonprofit comprised of the spouses of the Arab ambassadors posted in Washington DC. and dedicated to improving the lives of women and children and increasing cross-cultural understanding between the peoples of the United States and the Arab World.
