Gaia Bernstein is the Technology, Privacy, and Policy Professor of Law, Co-Director of the Institute for Privacy Protection, and Co-Director of the Gibbons Institute for Law, Science, and Technology. A technology policy expert, she specializes in addictive technologies and social media regulation. Her award-winning book Unwired: Gaining Control over Addictive Technologies was published in 2023. In 2024, she delivered a TEDx talk titled "The Truth About Technology." Professor Bernstein works with lawmakers, organizations, and families to address technology overuse and disconnection through collective action, both legally and within communities.
